Spy School by Stuart Gibbs
This book is recommended for advanced readers in sixth grade and up
Genre: Science Fiction Book Description: When Ben Ripley arrives home from school one afternoon, a spy is waiting for him. Before he has time to refuse, Ben is whisked off to spy school, where he is quickly immersed in all kinds of training--from combat to surveillance tactics. It doesn't take long for Ben to realize that everything is not what it seems. Is someone trying to kill him? Book Review: The vocabulary and plot of this book would be suitable for advanced fourth graders, but some references (one class is called "Seducing Your Sources") are a bit mature. This book has some humor, and the action keeps the pace moving quickly. It's a little light on depth and characterization, but it has a broad range of appeal. Book Advisory Information: Violence, some more mature references |
