The Prometheus Project: Trapped by Douglas E. Richards

This book is recommended for advanced readers in third grade and up.
Genre: Science Fiction
Book Summary:
Ryan and Regan have just moved to the middle of nowhere, Pennsylvania, and are sure they will collapse from boredom, when they accidentally discover that their parents are involved in something super-secret . . . maybe even criminal. They decide to sneak into a highly secure facility and find that the truth is more shocking than they ever imagined.
Book Review:
This fast-paced story is full of cliffhanger chapter endings, and is likely to appeal to a wide range of readers. The point of view shifts irregularly between Ryan and Regan, even within chapters, and occasionally strays to other characters, which is a little disjointed. The conversations between siblings are not as natural-sounding as they might be; it's unfortunate when authors need to tag their dialogue with "he joked." However, this book does an excellent job clearly illustrating several scientific principles, and the driving plot line makes this a good selection for reluctant readers.
